Egg Tomato Rice
Tomato rice is one of the easiest recipes one can make. Best when we add the magic of egg to it. It is a highly delicious dish and can be had at any time, for lunch or dinner. It requires a minimum of half an hour of cooking time. Now we will look into how to make tomato rice.
Ingredients
- ½ – a cup of cooked rice
- 1- onion
- 2- tomatoes
- 4- chilies
- 1- egg
- Coconut oil as needed
- 1 tsp – salt
- 2 tsp – chilly powder
- ½ tsp – turmeric powder
- 1 tsp – garam masala
- Curry leaves and masala leaves as needed
Preparation
Take a pan, pour some oil & curry leaves, and saute cut onions first. After caramelizing the onions, put cut tomatoes, chilly. Stir it smoothly till it gets soft.
Add chilly, turmeric, salt, and garam masala to it. Stir it for some time and close it with a lid.
After 5 minutes, stir the whole mix and add ½ cup of cooked rice to that. Add egg. Now stir it all together. Close the lid for some time.
After 5 to 8 minutes, open the lid and stir again. Turn off the heat. Sprinkle some masala leaves, and serve it on a plate along with some tomato ketchup. Enjoy the dish while it’s still hot!
